Last night I went to a Caribbean Concert. It was not like an American concert but definitely had a flare of its own. Comparatively I might describe it as a talent show but yet it was a mix of both. It began with different musicians performing one song with some dance groups mixed in between the notes. 3/4s into Hoszia performed. He was the headliner and the host. Ricquel and Kadia also performed towards the end. They did a mime (which is a mix of mime and interpretive dance) to a song. Ricquel looks so different w/ a white painted face! My favorite group was the a capella group. Amazing! They sang "Shut de Door, Keep Out de Devil."
It was really good to get out on a Saturday night and do something "social" and meet new people/experience the culture!

when i did all state choir in high school we did "shut de door" several times. love it and you!!!
