almost 24 hours of FUN

I say almost 24 hours of fun not because it was almost fun but because it was almost 24 hours long.

This past weekend we held the first ever October Overnight in Barbados. Since fall does not exist down here we had to be creative and give "fall getaway" a new team. October Overnight is fairly catchy and it really was just one night...not the weekend.

It went really well over all. Details were well taken care of, except that we got into the building almost 2 hours late...welcome to Barabdos. About 20ish students passed through over the time we were there. Maybe about 10 or 12 actually spent the night and as Saturday continued on many students ended up having to leave for class or jobs or other commitments. However, we loved having all of them there for however long though it would have been nice if they could have all come and stayed the whole time.

We did 3 sessions on Saturday. #1 Spiritual Development, #2 CCC mission/vision etc, #3 Your vision for this campus. And then we had discussion groups.

My main role throughout it all was cook. lol. Amanda and I got up at 6:30 something to start breakfast. lol. It takes a long time to make so many pancakes and eggs! I cooked hotdogs and mac and cheese for lunch. yum.

Saturday after it was all over and we cleaned up Amanda, Allen, Jeffrey and myself headed to Bubba's to catch the end of the Gator game. Once a Gator, always a Gator.
